| WHEREAS, God defined marriage in Genesis 2:24 and Jesus reaffirmed that definition of marriage in Matthew 19:4-6 as the union of one man and one woman for life, and |

| WHEREAS, the Bible expressly defines all sexual activity outside this definition of marriage to be sin, and |

| WHEREAS, man is currently attemping to redefine marriage, and |
| |
| WHEREAS, some churches have recently received media attention because of their departure from the biblical definition of marriage and sexual purity, |
| |
| BE IT RESOLVED, that Locust Grove Baptist Church reaffirms the biblical and traditional definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman for life and that all sexual activity outside of the biblical definition of marriage is sin and will be judged by God. |
