Meet our Pastor Bro. W.  Ryker Wilson

Dear Guests and Families,

     We are so very blessed and encouraged by your visit to our website.  We hope you found it user friendly and had your questions answered about how we can serve you and your family.  If you did not find the answers you were looking for, please call the church any time, and I will be glad to speak with you.  You can also email me at pastorryker@gmail.com.  We have a vibrant youth group that meets every Sunday night and Wednesday night, so check out the youth page for more information.  We also have a great children's ministry as well and you can find more information on the children's ministry page.  You can expect a great group of loving people at the Grove ready to serve the needs of your family.  Come get plugged in to the different ministry opportunities at our church!!  We are teaching/preaching a relevant message that emphasizes the grace of Jesus Christ.  It is His life through us that can change us and our world apart from our flesh or self effort (Col 3:1-4, Gal 2:20, John 15:5).  We do NOT want to condemn you (as many churches unfortunately do), but want to EQUIP you for living in this uncertain world with victory that comes by walking by faith in Jesus Christ!!  God bless you and your family as you search for a church home, and we hope that you will come to the Grove and enjoy Jesus with us!!        Bro. Ryker Wilson became the 32nd pastor of Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church on November 1, 2006, during the church's 165th year. Bro. Wilson is a graduate of Calloway County High School and Murray State University.  He recently received his Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He surrended to preach in November of 1999 at Grace Baptist Church and was licensed to preach in 2002 at Poplar Spring Baptist Church.  He was ordained November 19, 2006 at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Benton, Kentucky.  Bro. Wilson has been a minister of music, a pulpit supply minister, Sunday School teacher, a teacher of youth groups and had led a contemporary worship outreach service at First Missionary Baptist Church in Benton.  He has also worked in the local area as a licensed social worker for the past eight years. He is married to the former Jennifer Wright of Murray and they have a seven-year-old son, Logan.  Jennifer is the director of the Calloway County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
